Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Freight Broker role based in Spartanburg, SC. The Freight Broker will source and secure freight from shippers, negotiate rates, and match loads with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation. Daily responsibilities include managing load boards, coordinating dispatch activities, and maintaining clear communication with drivers, carriers, and customers throughout each shipment. The role involves building and maintaining strong client and carrier relationships, resolving service issues, and providing proactive updates to support customer satisfaction. The Freight Broker will also assist with documentation, compliance requirements, and performance tracking to support operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong Freight Brokerage and general Brokerage skills to source, negotiate, and manage freight opportunities.
• Excellent Customer Service and Account Management skills to build relationships and support shipper and carrier needs.
• Experience with Dispatching activities, including coordinating schedules, routes, and load assignments.
• Knowledge of transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations, including FTL and LTL services.
• Ability to work on-site in Spartanburg, SC and collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Comfort with logistics software, load boards, and standard office productivity tools.
• Prior experience in freight brokerage, dispatch, or logistics operations is preferred; relevant education or certifications in logistics or business are a plus.
