Job summary

The Finer Solutions is seeking an experienced 4PL Broker to join our growing transportation team. You will bring 3-5 years of brokerage experience, strong carrier procurement skills, and the ability to build lasting carrier relationships, all while working closely with our asset-based trucking operations to maximize capacity.

Source, negotiate, and secure transportation capacity for customer freight using load boards and TMS, while ensuring DOT/FMCSA compliance and onboarding carriers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years freight brokerage/4PL experience.
• Proficient with load boards (DAT, Truckstop) and TMS platforms.
• Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA compliance, carrier safety standards, and onboarding processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and secure transportation capacity for customer freight using DAT, Truckstop, and other load boards.
• Vet and onboard carriers, verifying DOT authority, insurance, safety ratings, and operating credentials.
• Manage shipments from pickup through delivery, proactively communicating status and resolving service issues.
• Negotiate carrier rates while hitting profitability targets.
• Collaborate with asset-based operations to maximize equipment utilization.
• Maintain accurate records in the TMS.
• Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
