Job Summary

We are seeking a Freight Broker to join our team! As our Freight Broker, you will work closely with other departments and transportation partners to build lasting relationships. Your responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement within our supply chain, implementing changes to save time and money, maintaining accurate records, and presenting reports to upper management. The ideal candidate has strong organizational and communication skills and can work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with carriers and customers/shippers
• Resolve transportation issues, delays, and supply concerns efficiently
• Maintain accurate shipment and logistics records using our TMS
• Provide regular reports to management on logistics performance
• Track and trace shipments, providing timely updates to customers
• Broker freight

Qualifications

• Experience in freight brokerage or third-party logistics
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum 3 years in customer service and sales
• Critical thinking, prioritization, and effective communication skills
• Strong organizational and account management skills
• Ability to multitask and work under deadlines
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and logistics software (TMS, EDI, Load Boards)
• Knowledge of over-the-road trucking modes and freight types (Flatbed, Dry Van, Refrigerated, Over-Dimensional)
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
