Job summary

VersaDesk is seeking a detail-oriented Freight Analyst Intern in Los Angeles to support logistics operations. You will audit freight invoices, control costs, and prevent duplicate charges while analyzing parcel, LTL, and FTL shipping costs for savings opportunities.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in IE/SC/Analytics, experience in logistics or analytics, and strong Excel skills. This role offers growth into operations leadership and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Analytics, Business, or related field.
• Experience in logistics, inventory control, operations, or analytics preferred.
• Experience with Amazon FBA / multi-warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of parcel, LTL, FTL, eCommerce fulfillment, and carrier management.
• Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Audit and review freight invoices from carriers, warehouses, and 3PL providers.
• Identify duplicate freight charges, billing errors, and unauthorized fees.
• Analyze shipping costs (parcel, LTL, FTL) to identify savings opportunities.
• Track shipping performance, transit times, damages, and delivery exceptions.
• Develop SOPs and internal controls to improve logistics and inventory accuracy.
