Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a hands-on Business Operations Intern in San Diego to work with leadership on process improvement, data analytics, and AI-driven automation. You will analyze current workflows, support visibility and productivity, and contribute to live improvement initiatives within a global logistics setting.

This paid, part-time internship runs 3–4 months with 20 hours per week, on-site at the Expeditors San Diego branch.

Qualifications

• Available for 3–4 months.
• Must work on-site in San Diego, CA.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Legal to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship needed.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows and identifying efficiency gains.
• Assist with data analytics and reporting, including cleaning, organizing, and analyzing data.
• Support dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics.
• Participate in AI and automation initiatives and identify tasks for automation.
• Help document SOPs and process changes.
• Analyze trends to support leadership decisions and collaborate across the branch.
