Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. in Rogers, AR is hiring a Freezer Operator to perform duties in a cold storage environment.

This role requires endurance for long shifts in a -10 degree F freezer, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to operate across all shifts including night hours. PPE is provided and training will be given, with forklift experience preferred.

• A-Shift Schedule Wednesday: 0600-1200
• C Shift Wednesday: Noon - 6:00pm
• C Shift Thursday - Saturday: 6:00am - 6:00pm
• D Shift Wednesday: Midnight - 6:00am
• D Shift Thursday - Saturday: 6:00pm - 6:00am
• Location Not Accepting Rehire

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided, which will include a freezer suit, gloves, and head wear, you will be trained and licensed as a professional forklift operator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sweep and/or vacuum vestibules, aisles and bays in cold storage freezer.
• Sweep and/or vacuum dock.
• Clean and return equipment
• Clean walls of vestibules, dock, cold storage freezer, and vestibule curtains.
• Pick up and properly dispose of all debris on floors of dock and in cold storage freezer.
• Stack up and place all bad pallets in designated area.
• Place all trash in compactor.
• Place all condemned and/or exposed product to rework area.
• Report all damaged product to supervisor.
• Train on other jobs in facility.
• Follow all safety rules.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Must be willing to tolerate continuous physical labor in a cold -10 degrees F, humid environment (9-11 hours per day).
• Must be willing to lift up to 50 pounds to stack pallets on a continual basis (9-11 hours per day).
• Must be willing to perform proper lifting techniques, including continually bending at the knees to lift with the legs and pivoting to avoid twisting (9-11 hours per day).
• Must be willing to work quickly and efficiently (9-11 hours per day).
• Must be willing to walk a great deal manually sweeping, reaching underneath bays (9-11 hours per day).
• Proficiency in reading and writing. ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels
