Job summary

Roskam Foods, a well-established contract manufacturer, is seeking a warehouse associate to support its cold storage and general warehouse operations. The role involves forklift operation, safe handling of products, and accurate loading of outbound orders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely perform all work tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Meet standard pallet move performance rate.
• Inspect equipment prior to use.
• Move product to and from storage locations.
• Load outbound orders and verify accuracy.
• Inspect trailers and ensure they are food-grade and safe.
• Secure loaded trailers for pickup.
• Use scanning software to track product in real-time.
• Perform warehouse cleaning duties as needed.
• Assist with inventory counts and minor tasks as requested.

Position Description and Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs all work task safely, accurately, and efficiently
• Ability to meet standard pallet move performance rate
• Inspects equipment prior to use
• Moves product to and from storage locations
• Loads outbound orders while verifying accuracy
• Inspects trailers prior to loading, ensures trailers are safe and food grade
• Responsible for securing loaded trailer while waiting for pickup
• Utilizes scanning software to systematically move product in real-time
• Performs warehouse cleaning duties including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, floor scrubbing, etc.
• Occasionally charges or changes Hilo battery, participates in inventory counting and wraps or stacks product
• Perform other duties as assigned, may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous warehouse or forklift experience
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• May work overtime, evenings, or weekends to complete work or to attend meetings, as directed and authorized by management
• Previous stand-up Hilo experience highly preferred
• Previous experience working in a cold storage environment preferred
