Johnson Bros. Bakery Supply, Inc. is seeking a Freezer Lead to direct outbound operations and supervise a on-floor team in Carrollton, TX.

You will ensure orders are picked, staged, and shipped accurately while maintaining a safe, organized freezer area. The role includes guiding staff, coordinating inbound stock, and performing FIFO procedures. Qualified candidates have at least 1 year warehouse experience, freezer experience, and forklift/pallet jack operation skills.

Job description

The Freezer Lead supports the Freezer and Outbound Supervisor by directing outbound operations and ensuring orders are picked, staged, and shipped accurately and efficiently. This role serves as a working lead, setting the standard for performance and safety while actively guiding and supporting the team on the floor. In addition, this position assists with inbound stock and monitoring current inventory levels, ensuring proper stock rotation and strict adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.Operational DutiesAssign and monitor daily outbound tasksEnsure order accuracy through audits and quality checks in accordance with company standardsConsistently demonstrate JBBS core valuesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized freezer environmentAssign inbound/stock duties to team members during downtime when applicableEnsure all returns are accounted for and properly put awayMaintain organization and cleanliness of frozen product in bulk areas and coolers· Submit a minimum of 20 daily audit sheets to the Outbound Supervisor· Assist with replenishment (let-downs) in the cooler when available for the dry teamTeam Guidance & LeadershipServe as the primary point of contact for team members working with freezer product or operating within the freezer areaProvide hands-on support as neededProvide coaching and corrective feedback related to picking, stocking, and policy complianceDocument recurring issues and communicate them to the Outbound SupervisorQualifications:Minimum 1 year warehouse experienceMust have FREEZER EXPERIENCEPrevious standup forklift experience requiredPrevious riding electric pallet jack experience requiredMust be able to stand for long periods, stoop, squat and bend regularlyMust be able to readMust be able to write legiblyMust be able to do simple math (count)Must be able to lift 50 lbs continuouslyPay Information:$24/hourPaid Time Off and Benefits after 60 daysEmployer paid short-term disability insurance, Life/AD&D, 401k matchI-9 and E-Verify Compliance:Employment eligibility will be verified through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system.
