Job summary

House of Flavors is seeking a Freezer Warehouse Employee to operate a forklift, pull and stage finished goods in a below-zero freezer, and maintain FIFO and quality standards. This is an at-will position reporting to the Freezer Warehouse Manager and Supervisors.

You’ll collaborate with the team to keep the area clean, follow food safety procedures, and participate in inventories and special projects. A high school diploma and forklift experience/license are required, with safety boots provided

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required with a minimum of 6 months of related experience.
• Proficiency in forklift operation and obtaining a forklift license is required.
• Ability to read and write to follow instructions and record information.

The Freezer Warehouse Employee, an at-will employee working under the direction of the Freezer Warehouse Manager and Supervisors, is a licensed fork lift operator, working in a below zero freezer warehouse, pulling and staging the finished goods specified on order pick sheets. The Freezer Warehouse Employee immediately communicates defects observed in quality or shortages in product to a supervisor. The employee helps other warehouse employees maintain a clean and food safe environment in all areas of the freezer warehouse and participates in inventory and special projects. All Good Manufacturing Practices and general safety practices are observed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Picks stored products according to an order pick sheet using a forklift or other high reach warehouse equipment; maintains First Expired, First Out.Ensures the proper handling of ingredients.Puts picked items in designated areas.Documents any quality problems or shortages in a timely manner and reports the shortages to a supervisor.Participates in all scheduled inventories.Follows all Food Safety Procedures; removes trash and sweeps the warehouse floor as needed.Works as a member of the Freezer Warehouse team, learning the jobs of different work stations included in this job description, enabling the ability to rotate from job to job giving breaks or filling in when other employees are absent.Completes all other duties as assigned, including working with the South Freezer Warehouse Manager and other managers to enhance the overall profitability of the operation.These are not the only duties and responsibilities that the South Freezer Warehouse Employee may be asked to perform, but it is a fair representation of the general duties that are required on a day-to-day basis.This document is subject to change without notice.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility to appropriate company standards. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch and to use hand/eye coordination to stack or sort product and cannot have a fear of heights.
