Job summary

Johnson Bros. Bakery Supply Inc in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Freezer Lead to direct outbound operations, supervise on- floor performance and ensure accurate picking, staging and shipping of orders.

This working lead role also assists with inbound stock, inventory rotation (FIFO) and safety standards, while coaching team members. Standup forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.

The position offers $24/hour, with benefits after 60 days including PTO, disability, life/AD&D and 401k match.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $24.00

The Freezer Lead supports the Freezer and Outbound Supervisor by directing outbound operations and ensuring orders are picked, staged, and shipped accurately and efficiently. This role serves as a working lead, setting the standard for performance and safety while actively guiding and supporting the team on the floor. In addition, this position assists with inbound stock and monitoring current inventory levels, ensuring proper stock rotation and strict adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.

Operational Duties

• Assign and monitor daily outbound tasks
• Ensure order accuracy through audits and quality checks in accordance with company standards
• Consistently demonstrate JBBS core values
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized freezer environment
• Assign inbound/stock duties to team members during downtime when applicable
• Ensure all returns are accounted for and properly put away
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of frozen product in bulk areas and coolers
• Submit a minimum of 20 daily audit sheets to the Outbound Supervisor
• Assist with replenishment (let-downs) in the cooler when available for the dry team

Team Guidance & Leadership

• Serve as the primary point of contact for team members working with freezer product or operating within the freezer area
• Provide hands-on support as needed
• Provide coaching and corrective feedback related to picking, stocking, and policy compliance
• Document recurring issues and communicate them to the Outbound Supervisor

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience
• Must have FREEZER EXPERIENCE
• Previous standup forklift experience required
• Previous riding electric pallet jack experience required
• Must be able to stand for long periods, stoop, squat and bend regularly
• Must be able to read
• Must be able to write legibly
• Must be able to do simple math (count)
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs continuously
