Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Freestanding ED (FSED). You will coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with providers, using established nursing models and advocating for patients and families to ensure excellent outcomes.

The role requires ACLS, BLS, ENPC, PALS, TNCC within stated timeframes, an RN license, a nursing degree, and at least 2 years in an ED setting.

Qualifikationen

• ACLS required within 90 days of start date.
• BCLS required.
• ENPC within 1 year of start date.
• PALS within 90 days of start date.
• TNCC within 1 year of start date.
• RN licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• 2 years RN experience in an Emergency Department setting.

Aufgaben

• Assess patient pain regularly and manage pain effectively.
• Perform procedures and document care in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up.
• Prepare patients for self-management and lifestyle changes.
