Job summary

Heim is recruiting for freelance phlebotomists to join a growing team delivering community-based blood tests in the East Midlands. You will work with a group of phlebotomists and liaise with the Clinical Operations Team to report on activities, with minimum weekly hours and a driver’s license required.

The role emphasizes flexibility, reliable service, and use of Heim’s mobile tools to coordinate assignments, log tasks, and manage cancellations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months phlebotomy experience.
• DBS Disclosure (enhanced, child and adult).
• Insurance: Personal professional indemnity insurance (evidence required).
• References: 2 referees, at least one from your recent employment.
• Driving Licence: Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Language: Fluent English (required).

Responsibilities

• Carry out blood tests requested and domiciliary visits as a lone practitioner with app support.
• Seek advice from a more senior/Heim Clinical team for matters outside your scope.
• Ensure domiciliary blood samples are posted or delivered to the hub in time for courier collection.
• Document results in the patient’s medical record.
• Report to the Heim Clinical team and seek advice on risks identified.
• Perform duties in accordance with company protocols and guidelines.
