Job summary

Visit.org, Inc. is seeking an experienced Freelance Event Specialist for in-person events in St. Louis, MO. The role requires energetic leadership, strong customer service, and the ability to manage event logistics from planning through breakdown.

The ideal candidate is based in St. Louis and able to work on a per-event basis, including nights and weekends as needed, with experience in large-scale and intimate executive events.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Based in St. Louis, MO.
• Contract-per-event basis with flexible schedule.
• Experience with complex, large-scale events is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event details, ship materials, and staff; serve as on-site lead.
• Join virtual planning meetings with corporate partner, nonprofit partner, and Visit.org hosts.
• Set up, align with on-site team, tear down, and ensure high-quality guest experience.
• Be the Visit.org representative, leader, and problem solver at events.
• Manage check-in and provide a warm welcome to guests.
• Problem-solve issues such as missing supplies or late staff; escalate when needed.
• Provide updates, photos, and videos to Events Team during and after events.
• Break down after the event and ship materials back to the distribution center.
• Travel locally to various areas of the region as required.
