Job summary

AMN Healthcare Language Services seeks an experienced ASL Medical InPerson Interpreter for Beverly, MA. This on-site, freelance role connects Deaf/HOH patients with providers using AMN's IPI app; flexibility and access to a variety of sessions are highlighted.

Candidates must hold NAD/RID credentials and uphold HIPAA and ethical standards in medical settings. Great communication skills, punctuality, and cultural competence are essential to serve diverse patients and collaborate with healthcare

Qualifications

• National certification at or above NAD level 4, RID CSC, CI/CT, CDI, NIC or BEI Advanced.
• Extensive knowledge of the NAD/RID Code of Professional Conduct and Deaf Culture ethics and standards of practice.
• HIPAA Training for Business Associates certificate (completed within the last year).

Responsibilities

• Provide effective onsite interpreting service for consumers.
• Always exhibit professional appearance and behavior, including punctuality and preparedness for shifts.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to new and changing technologies.
• Adhere to interpreter ethical standards and procedural requirements specific to interpreting context (e.g., hospitals, courts, schools, etc.).
• Respect for LEP clients, culture, dialect and beliefs regarding medical procedures.
