Job summary

AMN Healthcare Language Services seeks a qualified ASL InPerson Interpreter to facilitate on-site communication in Springfield, TN medical settings. This freelance role leverages AMN’s InPerson Interpreting app to connect interpreters with facilities that contract AMN, offering flexible daily sessions and professional opportunity.

The ideal candidate holds national certification (NAD/RID or equivalent) and has HIPAA training, state licensure where applicable, and a commitment to ethical,

Qualifications

• National certification at or above NAD level 4, RID CSC, CI/CT, CDI, NIC or BEI Advanced.
• Extensive knowledge of the NAD/RID Code of Professional Conduct and Deaf Culture ethics and standards of practice.
• Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as other state and federal laws applied to medical interpreting.
• HIPAA Training for Business Associates certificate (completed within the last year)
• State licensed where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective onsite interpreting service for consumers.
• Always exhibit professional appearance and behavior, including punctuality and preparedness for shifts.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to new and changing technologies.
• Adhere to interpreter ethical standards and procedural requirements specific to interpreting context (i.e., hospitals, courts, schools, etc.).
• Respect for and understanding of LEP clients, culture, dialect and beliefs and preferences as it relates to medical procedures.
• Strong aptitude and passion for customer service and interpreting.
