Job summary

AMN Healthcare Language Services is seeking a freelance ASL Medical InPerson Interpreter for on-site work in Dorchester, MA. The role involves facilitating communication between Deaf/HOH patients and healthcare providers using AMN's IPI app to schedule sessions.

Qualifications

• National certification at or above NAD level 4, RID CSC, CI/CT, CDI, NIC or BEI Advanced.
• Familiarity with the NAD/RID Code of Professional Conduct and Deaf Culture ethics and standards of practice.
• HIPAA Training for Business Associates certificate (completed within the last year)
• State licensed where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective onsite interpreting service for consumers.
• Maintain professional appearance and punctuality for shifts.
• Adapt quickly to new and changing technologies.
• Adhere to interpreter ethical standards and procedural requirements for the medical context.
• Respect LEP clients and cultural differences in medical procedures.
