Job summary

A construction and remodeling company is seeking a Freelance Construction / Remodeling Estimator for a remote role based in Virginia. The ideal candidate will oversee and control the pre construction process, managing proposals and contributing to cost estimates while ensuring attention to detail in all areas of construction. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in the residential sector, and skills in Bluebeam are a must. This position requires availability from 8 am to 5 pm, Mon.-Fri. EST.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as an estimator or Project manager in the residential sector.
• Experience with Bluebeam a must.
• Experience with Bluebeam is a must.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand design documents including blueprints, specifications, and project manuals.
• Contribute to cost estimates and bid solicitations by performing quantity takeoffs.
• Manage proposals in coordination with Business Development.
• Contribute to cost estimates utilizing trade partner budgets and quotes, as well as unit pricing.
• Complete detailed material take offs across all areas of construction.

Freelance Construction / Remodeling Estimator

Peter Johnson Builders is a company focused on high end, architecturally-designed custom homes and remodels, and we are looking for a talented and motivated Estimator to oversee and control the pre construction process.

This is a support position where the candidate will have the opportunity to take part in every aspect of the pre construction process. The candidate will take a construction project from concept to contract.

This is a remote position. Candidates must be available to work 8 am - 5 pm, Mon.- Fri. EST.

Qualified candidates must submit a sample take off for a residential construction project along with your resume to be considered.
