AMN Healthcare Language Services seeks a freelance OnSite ASL Medical Interpreter in Gloucester, MA to facilitate on-site communication for Deaf/HOH patients and healthcare teams. You will join AMN's IPI app network, scheduling sessions across varied medical settings, with emphasis on professionalism and reliability.

Qualified interpreters with NAD/RID certification, familiarity with HIPAA, and state licensure (where applicable) are preferred.

Qualifications

• National certification at NAD level 4, RID CSC, CI/CT, CDI, NIC or BEI Advanced.
• Familiarity with NAD/RID Code of Professional Conduct and Deaf Culture ethics and standards of practice.
• HIPAA Training for Business Associates certificate (completed within the last year).
• State licensure where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective on-site interpreting service for consumers.
• Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and preparedness for shifts.
• Adapt quickly to new and changing technologies.
• Adhere to interpreter ethical standards and procedural requirements for medical contexts.
• Respect LEP clients, culture, dialect and beliefs in medical procedures.
