Job summary

ContextGlobal, Inc. is seeking NIC Certified ASL Interpreters to support assignments across our client base in the Washington Metropolitan area.

This full-time freelance role requires strong ASL/English fluency and experience in educational vocabulary and Deaf culture. Interpreters will facilitate communication among multiple parties, handle voicing and signing duties, and participate in screenings and assignments across DC, MD, and Northern Virginia.

Qualifications

• Active National Interpreter Certification (NIC) required.
• Fluency in American Sign Language and English voicing.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or lower degree with equivalent experience.
• Completion of an Interpreter Training Program (graduates of accredited programs preferred).
• At least two years of experience as an ASL interpreter.
• Proficient signing and voicing skills.
• Strong knowledge of educational vocabulary, ASL, and Deaf culture.

Pre-Employment Screenings

Depending on the assignment, the successful candidate may be required to complete:

Locations: DC, MD, and Northern Virginia. Interviews and screenings will be conducted in ASL and spoken English.
