Job summary

Context Global is a dynamic communications agency seeking motivated Certified Deaf Interpreters to work as flex-time freelance interpreters. You will provide effective communication facilitation between multiple parties, match the diverse ASL needs of the community, and understand cultural and linguistic differences, while submitting time sheets and adhering to the RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Qualifications

• Culturally and linguistically Deaf.
• Fluency in American Sign Language and written English.
• RID Certified Deaf Interpreter or comparable experience.
• Self-motivated and well organized.

ASL Interpreting:

• Provide effective communication facilitation between multiple parties, working with hearing interpreter teams
• Be able to match the variety of linguistic needs present in the greater ASL community
• Understand cultural and linguistic differences between communities and respond accordingly
