Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with JPMorgan, is seeking a Data Scientist-Fraud Strategy - Vice President for our Payments organization in Palo Alto, CA. You will shape and execute fraud risk strategies using advanced analytics to protect customers and the business.

You will lead complex analytics projects, partner with underwriting, portfolio management and collections teams, and present findings to senior leadership to drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance, economics, statistics, or a quantitative field with experience in Fraud Strategy/analytics
• Ability to lead complex projects independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience driving conversations and building consensus across functions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences
• Strong background in statistics, econometrics, or related quantitative methods
• Proficiency in SAS, SQL, and data manipulation for actionable insights

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics to provide insights into fraud trends and account quality for senior management
• Oversee metrics and profitability drivers across the full account lifecycle with actionable recommendations
• Understand underwriting, portfolio management, and collections to address fraud risk drivers
• Direct and execute complex projects from analysis to implementation and monitoring
• Drive collaboration with stakeholders across functions and represent Fraud Strategy in cross-functional initiatives
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to executives and stakeholders
