Job summary

First Merchants Bank in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Fraud Strategy & Tools Specialist to centralize and optimize our fraud prevention tools and technologies. You will align capabilities with business goals, monitor tool performance, and collaborate with fraud operations, LOB teams, and external vendors.

You will analyze trends, support rapid triage, and recommend tuning and configuration improvements to detection systems. A bachelor's degree, 3+ years in fraud, and platform experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in fraud prevention, risk management, or financial technology.
• Fraud Analytics Experience with one or more fraud detection tools or platforms such as NICE/Actimize, Q2 Sentinel, FICO, Abrigo BAM+, Vertifi, TrueChecks, Alloy, etc.

Responsibilities

• Tool Optimization & Oversight: Attend vendor and user group meetings and monitor system changes to assess impact on detection and prevention.
• Strategic Coordination & Documentation: Understand fraud practices, coordinate with LOBs, and document tool configurations and usage.
• Fraud Intelligence & Triage: Identify fraud trends, participate in triage, and recommend tuning of detection systems.
• Proactive Engagement & Business Alignment: Propose improvements, align tool usage with business goals, and partner with stakeholders and vendors.
