Job summary

Happen Bank is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to turn complex data into actionable insights, strengthening fraud strategies across Fraud, Risk, Product, Technology, and Operations. You’ll work with SQL and Python to detect fraud patterns, monitor trends, and build dashboards in a collaborative, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data science, fraud analytics, decision science, or a related analytical role.
• Hands-on experience using SQL and Python to work with large datasets and produce reproducible analysis.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, data visualization, and model/strategy performance measurement.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets using SQL and Python to identify fraud patterns and opportunities.
• Support development and implementation of fraud detection strategies, rules, and models.
• Monitor fraud trends, loss metrics, and strategy performance; translate findings into actionable insights.
• Build and maintain queries, dashboards, and reporting using data standards.
• Evaluate new data sources and analytical techniques for predictive value.
