Job summary

Allied Universal® Compliance and Investigation Services is hiring a Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Investigator. Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Specialists investigate claims with red flags that suggest fraudulent behavior in relation to an Insurance claim.

The SIU Specialist must use their extensive knowledge of Insurance policies and the components of fraud to determine If claims warrant reporting to the appropriate state agency for prosecution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent with investigation experience.
• 5+ years of professional law enforcement experience focusing on fraud investigations.
• Private Investigator license as required by the state of work.
• 5+ years in complex insurance investigations or claims adjustment.
• Knowledge of anti-fraud laws and insurance regulations in home state/region.
• Proficient with laptops and mobile devices; SIU compliance knowledge.
• Able to type 40+ words per minute with accuracy.
• Flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across multiple coverage areas.
• Gather information through discretion, data collection, interviews, and collaboration with clients and agencies.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for investigations, reviews, audits, and tasks.
• Produce professional reports, memos, and letters clearly and concisely.
• Run database indices as needed and verify results.
• Develop strategic plans to achieve assignment objectives with proper documentation.
