Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Investigator to independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across workers’ compensation, general liability, property and casualty, and disability. The SIU Specialist will apply policy knowledge and fraud components to determine if claims warrant reporting to state agencies for prosecution.

Role offers fieldwork flexibility, Auto Allowance and company travel card.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice OR equivalent law enforcement experience.
• Private Investigator license as required by the state.
• Minimum 5 years conducting complex insurance investigations or fraud investigations.
• Knowledge of anti-fraud laws, insurance regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to type 40+ words per minute with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims for a variety of coverage including workers’ compensation, general liability, property, and disability.
• Gather information through interviews, research, data collection, and coordination with clients, case managers, and law enforcement.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for investigations, reviews, audits, and assignments.
• Produce professional reports, memos, and correspondence that are clear and accurate.
• Verify data accuracy and run database queries as needed.
• Develop a strategic plan to meet assignment objectives and communicate with clients and SIU Supervisor.
