Job summary

People Driven Credit Union seeks an experienced BSA/Risk Manager to protect financial strength, reputation, and members. The role involves leading proactive risk-management and fraud-prevention programs across the organization.

You will analyze risk patterns, coordinate with Law Enforcement when needed, and maintain BSA/AML compliance while educating staff on regulatory changes. This is a hybrid position with a starting salary of $72,000, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• Minimum two years BSA, Risk Management, or Collections experience.
• Proven success leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Implement fraud detection operations in line with policies and procedures and legal requirements.
• Review daily account activity to identify suspicious patterns and mitigate fraud losses.
• Interrogate compromised members to confirm extent of fraud.
• Liaise with Law Enforcement and other agencies as needed, preserving evidence for investigations.
• Collaborate with Payments Manager to reduce risk across debit, ACH, checks, wires and cards.
• Develop staff guidelines for handling suspicious activity and fraud disputes.
• Manage credit reporting and member disputes with bureaus in a timely manner.
• Serve as BSA Officer ensuring adherence to Bank Secrecy Act and AML/OFAC regulations.
• Stay updated on BSA, AML and OFAC changes and regulatory updates.
• Prepare reports on BSA compliance, fraud prevention, and Financial Exploitation for CFO.
• Educate the team on BSA and fraud through HR collaborations.
• Assist in regulatory examinations and audits related to BSA and fraud prevention.
• Monitor trends to identify threats and develop preventative controls.
• Strengthen processes through procedural improvements and risk management practices.
• Foster a culture of prevention across the organization.
