Job summary

the company in Chicago seeks an Associate Fraud Analyst to join the Merchant Fraud team. You will investigate and prevent fraud across acquiring and embedded financial services, collaborating with Risk, Product, and Merchant Operations to keep the platform secure.

We value 1–2+ years in fraud/AML, fluency in English, and a data-driven approach. You will own investigations and work with colleagues across teams to improve detection and response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• 1–2+ years of fraud or AML experience at a financial institution or fintech.
• Knowledge of multiple forms of fraud, AML and financial crimes.
• Willingness to make decisions quickly and learn from experience.
• Strong collaboration across teams and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate transaction patterns and user behavior to detect fraud in real-time.
• Assist in developing and optimizing fraud detection systems and tools.
• Develop and refine incident response policies and communication protocols.
• Stay up-to-date with evolving fraud trends and technologies.
• Maintain KPI and QA targets while detecting fraudulent activity.
