State of North Carolina - Insurance is seeking an Attorney II to collaborate with District Attorneys in pursuing criminal charges related to insurance fraud and bail bonds crimes. The role involves presenting investigative findings, coordinating with investigators, and applying relevant criminal statutes to support prosecutions.

Qualified candidates will have NC bar admission, at least five years in criminal prosecution, and strong research, writing, and oral communication skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law by the North Carolina State Bar.
• Five years of criminal prosecution courtroom experience.
• Experience prosecuting fraud-related crimes.
• Knowledge of NC General Statutes Chapters 14, 15, 15A, and 58.
• Strong legal research, writing, oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Review investigative reports and evidence related to insurance fraud.
• Present findings to District Attorneys and explain potential charges.
• Provide case support to prosecutors and coordinate with investigators.
• Apply criminal statutes and rules of evidence in cases.
• Maintain relationships with prosecutorial partners and departments.
• Assist District Attorneys with prosecution of insurance fraud and related matters.
