Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Director of Fraud Program Strategy, Governance & Operations to lead the 1st Line Fraud Risk Management strategy, governance, and operations. You will coordinate fraud prevention, authentication, identity verification, and risk capabilities across business, technology, and operations.

Reporting to the Managing Director, 1st Line Fraud Risk Management, you will shape investment priorities, drive accountability, and stand up a centralized strategy and governance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in fraud portfolio management, operations, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years leading teams in a complex, matrixed org.
• Experience building governance and operating models translating strategy into outcomes.
• Experience establishing a centralized enterprise function with structured accountability.
• Experience prioritizing, dependency management, capacity planning, and cross‑functional execution.
• Ability to influence senior leaders, navigate ambiguity, and deliver results.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Own program governance and decision‑making frameworks.
• Create operating routines across groups so priorities and decisions are understood.
• Drive accountability for commitments, translating actions into results.
• Define operating models and stand up centralized strategy and governance capability.
• Shape the fraud technology roadmap with AI capabilities.
• Allocate capacity and advise buy‑versus‑build decisions with tech teams.
