Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in fraud prevention, investigations, or related compliance.
• 1+ year of people management experience.
• Knowledge of identity verification concepts and fraud case workflows.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements in operational practice.
• Strong analytical skills with dashboards and risk scoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of four Fraud Analysts with coaching and development.
• Own fraud detection and case management workflows across onboarding, ensuring well-documented decisions.
• Manage fraud detection platform configuration and thresholds in partnership with Engineering and vendors.
• Monitor fraud trends and escalating risks, recommending control enhancements.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Financial Aid, Compliance, Legal, Registrar, IT Security and others to strengthen prevention practices.
• Lead root-cause analysis on fraud incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Drive process improvements and reporting enhancements for detection accuracy.
