Citi is seeking a Fraud Ops Manager (C12) to lead a team responsible for developing fraud management policies, processes, and procedures in coordination with the Operations - Services team. The role focuses on minimizing fraud losses by ensuring analysts make informed decisions using risk/reward balance methodologies.

The candidate will manage projects, modeling initiatives, and stakeholder reviews, with flexibility for US/NAM shift timings and onsite work as required.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in a related role.
  • Experience in applying and developing advanced statistical models.
  • Ability to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others and negotiate with third parties.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment.
  • Experience in PMP / SCRUM master's will be an added advantage.
  • Flexible for US/NAM shift timings including weekend working.
  • Work from office and onsite presence is necessary on an ongoing basis per business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze fraud trends, conduct investigative research into fraud behavior and losses to determine the nature of fraud patterns.
  • Manage department projects/ processes, including data sampling, modeling design, modeling development, validation, and implementation.
  • Manage a team, projects, activities, budget and planning.
  • Lead modeling and analytical projects through completion.
  • Evaluate subordinates' performance and make recommendations for pay increases, hiring and other personnel actions.
  • Provide evaluative judgment based on information analysis in complicated and unique situations to solve complex issues.
  • Ensure delivery of end results and contribute to the formulation / maintaining of procedures.
  • Assist in stake-holder management by supporting in activities related to businesses' periodical reviews.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Job Overview

The Fraud Ops Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to develop fraud management policies, processes and procedures to minimize the impact of fraud in coordination with the Operations - Services team. The overall objective of this role is to manage fraud losses by ensuring analysts make appropriate decisions using risk/reward balance methodology. Assist the team leader in execution / functioning of the day-to-day business requirements. Be sensitive to client requests, timely turn around and help/facilitate in providing the functional support. Responsibilities:

  • Analyze fraud trends, conduct investigative research into fraud behavior and losses to determine the nature of fraud patterns
  • Manage department projects/ processes, including data sampling, modeling design, modeling development, validation, and implementation

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
