Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an SIU Investigator to independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across multiple coverages, including workers’ compensation and general liability. You will gather information via interviews, data collection, and collaboration with various SIU entities and law enforcement.

Strong knowledge of anti-fraud laws and insurance regulations is essential. This role requires a valid Private Investigator license (where applicable), 5+ years in complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent with fraud investigation experience.
• Private Investigator license as required by the state of work.
• Post-offer Allied Universal Investigations training/orientation course.
• Five+ years in complex insurance investigations or claims.
• Knowledge of anti-fraud laws and insurance regulations.
• Proficient with laptops and cell phones.
• SIU compliance knowledge.
• Ability to type 40+ WPM with low error.
• Ability to work varied hours including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across multiple coverages including workers’ compensation, general liability, property and casualty, and disability.
• Gather information through interviews, data collection, and collaboration with clients, case managers, other SIU entities, law enforcement and state Departments of Insurance.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for investigations, reviews, audits, training tasks, and related assignments.
• Produce professional reports, memos, and letters that are clear and accurate.
• Run database indices when needed and verify results.
• Develop strategic plans to achieve assignment objectives with thorough documentation and client communication.
