Job summary

The Silver Lining in West Bend, WI is seeking an internship to conduct investigative and intelligence research into suspected insurance fraud across auto, property, casualty, and other lines. You will collaborate with SIU staff to evaluate, investigate, identify red flags, gather facts, and document findings.

This in-office role provides mentorship, meaningful project work, and professional development. Ideal candidates are pursuing criminal justice or business studies with basic data research

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support fraud detection by identifying red flags, gathering facts, and documenting evidence.
• Follow state fraud statutes, privacy laws, and FCRA/DPPA considerations.
• Learn SIU policies, referral guidelines, and escalation procedures.
• Maintain database access protocols and ensure confidentiality.
• Use internal and external databases for research and verification.
• Assist with compiling investigative documentation and data requests.
• Translate analytical findings into actionable intelligence for SIU investigations.
