Job summary

Northern Kentucky University is seeking an Assistant Director for Fraternity & Sorority Life to oversee programmatic and policy functions within the fraternity and sorority community and to provide leadership and supervision for the program.

The role advises governing councils (IFC, Panhellenic, NPHC, and/or MGC), partners with campus groups, develops leadership programs, and helps grow the community while addressing conduct and student concerns.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 2 years of related experience required.
• Graduate or professional experience in fraternity and sorority advising is preferred.
• Strong computer competence with Word/Excel and social media/marketing tools; capable of planning large-scale events.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary advisor to the Interfraternity Council (IFC), Panhellenic Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and/or Multicultural Greek Council.
• Supervise the Fraternity and Sorority Life Graduate Assistant.
• Direct development of workshops, retreats, and leadership programs for chapter and council leadership; plan departmentally sponsored events.
• Coordinate and implement office policies, practices, and procedures aligned with university policy.
• Maintain membership records, recruitment statistics, and scholarship reports; publish standings each semester.
• Maintain communication with all national headquarters for active charters and prospective chapters.
• Develop a long-term plan for growth and development of the Fraternity and Sorority Community.
