Job summary

Texas A&M University in College Station seeks an Interfraternity Council Advisor (Student Development Specialist II) to guide fraternity and sorority programs, advise student leaders, and coordinate IFC activities. This role supports education, training, and risk management across Greek life in a busy university setting.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with experience in student affairs; master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of experience in student affairs or related area.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in student affairs or higher education with one year experience.
• Experience as an advisor to Interfraternity, Panhellenic, or Greek councils.
• Formal advising or risk management training.
• Significant student group advising and leadership training.

Responsibilities

• Advise IFC and student leaders; attend meetings and programs.
• Maintain student records and documentation.
• Educate chapters on laws, policies, and risk management.
• Support IFC operations, budgeting, and program evaluation.
• Serve as liaison between inter/national offices and the university.
• Lead coordinations for office enhancements and initiatives.
