Job summary

Choice Hotels International is seeking an Area Director, Franchise Performance, Core Brands to drive commercial performance across a portfolio of midscale hotels in the Memphis area. You will advise owners and operators, conduct on-site reviews and virtual engagements, and partner with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Loyalty and Distribution teams to optimize RevPAR and profitability.

The role emphasizes data-driven consulting, stakeholder management, and execution of strategic action

Qualifications

• Minimum fifteen years of progressive hotel industry experience with responsibility for commercial strategy and performance.
• Minimum ten years of hotel leadership experience in franchise performance or multi-unit roles.
• Demonstrated success in improving RevPAR, market share and owner profitability.
• Proven ability to influence decisions through data-driven consultation.
• Experience in a matrixed organization with stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic commercial advisor to hotel owners and operators using portfolio and market data.
• Conduct visits and reviews connecting revenue strategy, sales, marketing, and operations to growth.
• Influence adoption of commercial priorities through clear accountability and follow-through.
• Evaluate market demand, pricing, distribution, and sales to prioritize opportunities.
• Develop recommendations that improve revenue, profitability and owner value.
• Drive portfolio and hotel-level improvements in RevPAR, ADR, occupancy and growth.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Loyalty, and Distribution teams.
