Job summary

STEAK ’N SHAKE is seeking a General Manager with an owner mindset for a partnership opportunity in the United States. This is a full-time role with a pathway to franchise ownership, up to $80,000 in compensation plus benefits.

We’re not hiring a manager; we’re inviting a leader to own a store, recruit and coach teams, hit weekly targets, and join the Franchisee Partner Program to build lasting value and equity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of GM experience in QSR or fast-casual.
• Fluency in P&L management; able to quote food cost, labor %, and guest trends.
• Hands-on leadership; willing to work on the grill/window.
• Consistent work history; not a job-hopper.
• Owner’s mindset; every dollar and guest matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant operations from the floor to improve guest experience.
• Recruit, train, and build a high-performing team.
• Uphold brand, food safety, and hospitality standards.
• Use data to drive decisions on speed and costs.
• Own the store performance and growth toward ownership.
