Job description

ZenaTech (Nasdaq: ZENA | FSE: 49Q) is a technology company specializing in AI drones, Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS), enterprise SaaS, and quantum computing solutions for mission-critical business applications. Since 2017, the company has leveraged its software development expertise and expanded its drone design and manufacturing capabilities through ZenaDrone to innovate and enhance customer inspection, monitoring, safety, security, compliance, and surveying processes.

Job Overview:

ZenaTech is seeking a Franchise Development Manager to help build our power washing franchise business from the ground up based out of our Orlando office. This is a developmental, hands-on role for someone eager to help shape a brand-new business line leveraging drone technology for speed, efficiency and safety.

Reporting to the Corporate Development VP, the role will focus on helping finalize ZenaTech's overall franchise business model, then help in standing up the operational infrastructure needed to recruit, onboard, and support franchisees. The role will work closely with our Operations teams to onboard and manage franchisees on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in finalizing ZenaTech's Franchise Operations Manual, including operating procedures, training materials, equipment standards, and quality guidelines for drone-powered power washing services.
  • Support the buildout of the overall franchise business model, including finalized territory design, structures, compliance, and unit economics, in partnership with Finance, Operations and Legal.
  • Help design and stand up franchisee recruitment operations, including lead generation, candidate screening, discovery day processes, and franchise sales materials.
  • Build relationships with prospective franchisees and support the end-to-end sales process from initial inquiry through franchise agreement execution.
  • Help to coordinate with Legal and compliance advisors to ensure franchise disclosure documents (FDDs) and related materials meet state and federal franchise regulations.
  • Partner closely with Operations teams to onboard new franchisees and manage the ongoing franchisee relationship, including certification, training, and operational support.
  • Develop marketing and outreach strategies to build franchisee pipeline, working closely with corporate marketing on brand standards.
  • Track and report on franchise development metrics, including lead conversion, territory coverage, and franchisee satisfaction, to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Professional background of 3-6 years in franchise development, franchise operations, or business development related to franchising.
  • Demonstrated ability to build or scale an early-stage business function, ideally in a franchise, technology, or field services environment.
  • Familiarity with franchise business models, including FDDs, royalty structures, and franchisee support programs, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with recruiting, sales, or business development processes, particularly in a B2B or franchisee-facing capacity.
  • Comfort operating in a developmental, ambiguous environment where processes and playbooks are still being defined.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multifunction teams including Business Development, Operations, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
