Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to deliver bookkeeping, payroll, and responsive client service across our network. You will post transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial statements while supporting payroll processes.

You’ll engage with clients and vendors, drive accuracy, and help retain and grow client relationships within a franchise office. Certification and experience with GAAP are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• National bookkeeping and payroll certifications or ability to obtain them.
• 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
