Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of framers focused on building customer relationships and delivering framing solutions.
- Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions for their art.
- Assist the Store Manager in maintaining adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
- Maintain execution of company policies and standards, holding the team accountable for store conditions and results.
- Develop and coach the team on selling behaviors.
- Lead the delivery of high‑quality custom framing solutions on time by planning workload in partnership with the Store Manager.
- Achieve personal KPIs and manage the framing team to achieve their role KPIs.
- Review sales and production workload, building plans and sales floor time for networking.
- Manage and execute inventory management processes and shrink and safety programs as assigned.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing and training new team members.
- Support talent development activities and participate in performance management activities of the team.
- Partner with MODs daily on framing expectations and other framers’ responsibilities.
- Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remaining positive even in difficult situations, and promoting the company’s vision and values.
- Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes, ensuring truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
- Follow SOPs and company programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Acknowledge customers, help locate products and provide solutions.
- Assist with Omni‑channel processes and other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
- Retail management experience.
- Experience leading a sales team.
- Ability to interview, onboard, coach, observe, and train new team members.
Physical Requirements
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Ability to move throughout the store and remain standing for long periods.
- Lifting heavy boxes and frames and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment
- Public retail store setting, climate‑controlled in most areas; some stock rooms may not be climate‑controlled.
- Occasional outdoor work (e.g., retrieving shopping carts, unloading trucks).
- Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
- Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
