Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Framing Field Supervisor to manage framing for single and multi-family homes, ensuring alignment with blueprints and customer contracts. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer service in a fast-paced construction environment.

The candidate will read blueprints, oversee material needs, and coordinate deliveries, while maintaining OSHA and Carter Lumber standards. Strong math skills and problem-solving are essential for timely project completion.

Qualifications

• 3-4 yrs experience in residential or light commercial construction, framing
• Ability to read blueprints and understand construction documents
• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools
• Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions
• Ability to analyze problems and provide practical recommendations
• Familiarity with scheduling programs such as Builder Trend, Build Pro, Supply Pro

Responsibilities

• Analyze jobsites before start to ensure quality construction
• Review construction documents and material requirements
• Frame buildings according to blueprints
• Create and maintain a safe work environment on site
• Coordinate material deliveries and share plans with labor broker
• Schedule deliveries per the Construction Manager's plan
• Ensure framing complies with OSHA and Carter Lumber standards
• Ensure timely project completion
• Deliver high-quality workmanship to customers
• Acquire necessary training to safely and efficiently build products
• Become certified in installed products to provide best service to customers
