Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Framing Field Supervisor to lead framing for single and multi-family homes, ensuring quality work in line with blueprints and customer contracts. Strong knowledge of materials, codes, and safety, plus a customer-focused mindset, are essential for success in this role.

The position requires timely project completion, team coordination, and adherence to OSHA and Carter Lumber standards. Growth potential exists for motivated individuals with a solid work ethic.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of framing experience in residential or light commercial construction.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction documents.
• Knowledge of building materials and tools.
• Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong math skills and ability to follow directions.
• Familiarity with scheduling programs such as Builder Trend, Build Pro, Supply Pro.

Responsibilities

• Analyze jobsite prior to start to ensure quality construction.
• Review construction documents and material requirements.
• Frame buildings according to blueprints.
• Maintain a safe on-site environment per OSHA and Carter Lumber standards.
• Coordinate with the team for material delivery and plans copies for the labor broker.
• Schedule deliveries according to the Construction Manager and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Ensure framing complies with company standards and safety rules.
• Complete projects in a timely manner.
• Deliver high quality workmanship to customers.
