Carter Lumber is seeking a Framing Field Supervisor in Winston-Salem, NC to manage framing for single and multi-family homes per blueprints and contracts. The role emphasizes safety, timely completion, and strong customer service while coordinating material delivery and labor resources on site.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years in framing, blueprint reading skills, and proficiency with scheduling tools, with a commitment to Carter Lumber standards and OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years experience in residential or light commercial framing.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of building materials and tools.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work under time constraints.
• Strong math skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems.
• Knowledgeable in scheduling programs such as Builder Trend, Build Pro, Supply Pro.

Responsabilités

• Analyze jobsite prior to starting to ensure quality construction.
• Review construction documents and understand material needed to build.
• Frame buildings according to blueprint.
• Create and supports a safe work environment on the job site to protect the interest of the company at all times.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure material is delivered and that the labor broker receives a copy of the plans.
• Schedule the delivery according to the builder’s Construction Manager schedule and ensure material is delivered.
• Ensure laborers frame in compliance with OSHA, Carter Lumber standards and rules, including cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure the project is completed in a timely manner.
• Provide high quality workmanship to customers.
• React to problems and complaints patient and understanding.
• Acquire training to build the product safely and efficiently.
• Become certified in the product/area installed to ensure best service.
