Job summary

ODC Construction, LLC - Optimal Framing Crews – is seeking a Framing Laborer in West Florida to support framing teams on commercial and residential projects. You will read blueprints, cut and assemble framing components, and help ensure accuracy and safety on-site.

This non-exempt, full-time position offers overtime opportunities and a benefits package. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in various weather, and collaborate with multiple trades under the Director of Construction.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Construct and install framing components (walls, floors, roofs, beams, studs, joists, rafters, headers) per specs.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, and other materials for framing structures.
• Ensure framing work is level, square, and aligned with project specifications and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain framing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform quality checks to meet company and regulatory standards.
• Follow safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with temporary scaffolding and site setup duties.
• Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain organized tools, equipment, and job site for efficiency and safety.

Title: Framing Laborer

Location: Field, West FL

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: ODC Construction is seeking a skilled Framing Construction Carpenter to join our team and contribute to the successful completion of framing tasks across various construction projects. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and installing structural framing components such as walls, floors, and roofs. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in framing, a strong understanding of construction techniques, and a commitment to quality and safety. As part of a dynamic team, the Framing Carpenter will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Reports to: Director of Construction

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
