Job summary

ODC Construction, LLC - Optimal Framing Crews is seeking a skilled Framing Laborer to join our field team in SWFL. You will read blueprints, measure and cut materials, and install framing components for walls, floors, and roofs while maintaining safety and quality on site.

The ideal candidate has hands-on framing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a dynamic construction crew.

Qualifications

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Construct and install framing components per project specifications (walls, floors, roofs, beams, studs, joists, rafters, headers).
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, and other materials for framing structures.
  • Ensure framing work is level, square, and aligned with standards.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain tools/equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist with the installation of temporary scaffolding and other site setup duties.
  • Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and job site organization to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Identify and address potential issues with framing materials, designs, or installation.
  • Assist in loading, unloading, and proper handling of materials.
  • Provide input on improving processes, tools, and techniques to enhance work efficiency and quality.

Title: Framing Laborer

Location: Field, SWFL FL

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: ODC Construction is seeking a skilled Framing Construction Carpenter to join our team and contribute to the successful completion of framing tasks across various construction projects. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and installing structural framing components such as walls, floors, and roofs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in framing, a strong understanding of construction techniques, and a commitment to quality and safety. As part of a dynamic team, the Framing Carpenter will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Reports to: Director of Construction

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Construct and install framing components, including walls, floors, roofs, beams, studs, joists, rafters, and headers, according to project specifications.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
