FBi Buildings in Aurora, IL is seeking skilled Framing Carpenters to join our field crews. You will build post-frame, wood-framed, agricultural, and commercial structures with attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Previous carpentry, framing, or related construction experience
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Understanding of basic framing and construction methods
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to learn FBi Buildings’ construction methods and processes
• Commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively as part of a crew
• Ability to travel to regional jobsites
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Frame and construct wood-framed and post-frame buildings
• Install posts, headers, beams, wall framing, trusses, purlins, and other structural components
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials
• Perform rough carpentry and structural framing
• Install metal roofing, siding, and exterior building components as needed
• Read measurements, construction drawings, and building plans
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and construction equipment
• Assist with building layout and structural construction
• Work from Foreman direction and project plans
• Maintain an organized and productive jobsite
• Follow company and jobsite safety requirements
• Work efficiently as part of a construction crew
• Travel to regional jobsites as needed
