Job summary

FBi Buildings is seeking skilled Framing Carpenters to join our field construction teams in Aurora, IL. Competitive pay, overtime, bonuses, and full benefits are offered as part of a stable, year-round career with an established company.

You’ll work on post-frame, agricultural, commercial, and wood-framed structures, measuring, cutting, and assembling building components while following safety and quality standards. Travel to regional jobsites is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in wood framing and post-frame construction.
• Ability to measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Willingness to travel to regional jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Frame and construct wood-framed and post-frame buildings.
• Install posts, headers, beams, wall framing, trusses, purlins, and other structural components.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials.
• Perform rough carpentry and structural framing.
• Install metal roofing, siding, and exterior building components as needed.
• Read measurements, construction drawings, and building plans.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and construction equipment.
• Assist with building layout and structural construction.
• Work from Foreman direction and project plans.
• Maintain an organized and productive jobsite.
• Follow company and jobsite safety requirements.
• Travel to regional jobsites as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Framing Carpenter with FBi Buildings, you'll work alongside experienced construction professionals to build high-quality post-frame, agricultural, commercial, and wood-framed structures.

Responsibilities may include:

• Frame and construct wood-framed and post-frame buildings
• Install posts, headers, beams, wall framing, trusses, purlins, and other structural components
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials
• Perform rough carpentry and structural framing
• Install metal roofing, siding, and exterior building components as needed
• Read measurements, construction drawings, and building plans
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and construction equipment
• Assist with building layout and structural construction
• Work from Foreman direction and project plans

• Work efficiently as part of a construction crew
• Travel to regional jobsites as needed

Qualifications

Previous carpentry, framing, or related construction experience

Ability to accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials

Comfortable using hand and power tools

Understanding of basic framing and construction methods

Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

Ability to perform physically demanding construction work

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Willingness to learn FBi Buildings’ construction methods and processes

Commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship

Ability to work effectively as part of a crew

Ability to travel to regional jobsites

Valid driver's license
