Job summary

Peterbilt Motors Company in Denton, Texas is seeking a Process Engineer Intern to join our Frame team. You will work on projects that study layout efficiency, material flow, and assembly processes to help improve throughput.

Responsibilities include data collection, defect analysis, and documenting processes while collaborating with experienced engineers. The internship offers hands-on training, exposure to manufacturing environments, and opportunities for growth within PACCAR’s global network.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering related program.
• Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Three years minimum manufacturing experience (exhibited process and product knowledge) is desired.
• Six Sigma Training is preferred.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment.

Responsibilities

• Time and efficiency studies on the layout process to improve throughput and reduce labor.
• Incoming material defect analysis and recommendation to improve flow.
• Build into paint flow enhancement to accommodate higher volumes and operating both 2.1M build cells.
• Study and Analyze Plant Assembly Processes.
• Development and Document Plant Assembly Processes.
• Flexibility to address special projects as they arise.
