Job summary

Peterbilt Motors Company in Denton, Texas is seeking an Engineering Intern to join the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team. You will contribute to design, prototyping, testing, and documentation for returnable racks, tooling, and preproduction activities.

The role offers hands-on work with Creo, PFMEA, and data-driven reporting, while expanding skills in manufacturing processes and product development. Candidates must be enrolled in an engineering program and willing to work varying

• Interest in testing, data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, test, and modify returnable racks for parts.
• Incorporate hand tool models into Creo master models for clearance checks.
• Assist with testing various prototype software and prototype builds.
• Support pilot coordination activities for preproduction builds.
• Document department processes (pilot builds, PFMEA, standard fasteners).
• Develop labor study database and input PFMEAs to new database format.
