Job summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, is seeking a Process Engineer Intern for the Paint team in Denton, Texas. You will work on various projects, conducting time/throughput studies and material defect analysis to optimize paint flow and assembly processes.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering programs with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering program.
• Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Three years minimum manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree pursuit in engineering field; Six Sigma training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Time and efficiency studies on the layout process to improve throughput and reduce labor.
• Incoming material defect analysis and recommendations to improve flow.
• Enhance paint flow to accommodate higher volumes and operate 2.1M build cells.
• Study and analyze plant assembly processes.
• Develop and document plant assembly processes.
• Flexible to address special projects as they arise.
